Ava Matthey, connue sous le nom de scène Moon, est une artiste pluridisciplinaire et performeuse drag transgenre originaire de Suisse.
Diplômée d’un Master à la Haute École d’Art et de Design de Genève (HEAD) en 2015, elle développe un univers mêlant arts visuels, performance et militantisme queer.

Entre 2016 et 2021, elle cofonde et organise les soirées Genevegas, un collectif emblématique de la scène queer genevoise. En 2018, elle réalise une résidence artistique à Reykjavik, avant de présenter sa première exposition solo, Métamorphose, à la Fonderie Kugler. Lauréate d’un atelier d’artiste à Genève entre 2019 et 2022, elle poursuit son travail plastique tout en se produisant régulièrement sur scène.

En parallèle, Moon s’engage dans le champ social : elle collabore avec l’association Dialogai, où elle accompagne les jeunes queer sur les questions de santé mentale et dispense des ateliers de maquillage drag.

Révélée au grand public en 2023 dans Drag Race France saison 2, elle y remporte le titre de Miss Sympathie et marque les esprits par sa bienveillance et son discours sur la santé mentale. Installée depuis à Paris, elle poursuit une carrière de performeuse à temps plein, se produisant sur des scènes prestigieuses telles que le Montreux Jazz Festival, le Trianonou l’Olympia.

En 2025, elle signe son grand retour télévisé dans Drag Race France : All Stars, confirmant son statut d’artiste complète, à la croisée de l’art, du spectacle et de l’activisme.
Son travail explore la métamorphose sous toutes ses formes — entre peinture, performance et identité — et célèbre la puissance de la transformation comme acte artistique et humain.

MOON

Ava Matthey, known by her stage name Moon, is a multidisciplinary artist and drag performer from Switzerland. A proud transgender woman, she merges visual art, performance, and queer activism into a singular artistic identity.

A graduate of the Geneva University of Art and Design (HEAD) with a Master’s degree in 2015, Moon has developed a practice rooted in transformation, emotion, and self-expression. Between 2016 and 2021, she co-founded and organized the iconic queer party collective Genevegas, shaping Geneva’s LGBTQ+ nightlife scene.

In 2018, she completed an artist residency in Reykjavik, and upon her return held her first solo exhibition, Metamorphosis, at Fonderie Kugler. From 2019 to 2022, she worked in an artist studio awarded through competition, continuing to explore her visual work while performing across Switzerland and France.

Beyond the stage, Moon has been deeply involved in community work, collaborating with Dialogai, a Geneva-based association supporting queer youth. There, she led initiatives around mental health and taught drag makeup workshops.

In 2023, she gained national recognition as a contestant on Drag Race France Season 2, where she won the title of Miss Congeniality and touched audiences with her authenticity and heartfelt discussion about mental health. Now based in Paris, she performs full-time on prestigious stages such as the Montreux Jazz Festival, Le Trianon, and L’Olympia.

In 2025, Moon returns to television in Drag Race France: All Stars, confirming her status as a complete artist at the crossroads of art, performance, and activism.
Her work is a continuous exploration of metamorphosis — from painter by day to drag performer by night — celebrating transformation as both an artistic and human act.
